No, we have 100 bookable spaces but there are also spaces that you can walk-in and pay at reception. This is subject to availability, so to avoid disappointment we recommend booking in advance.
No, we do not allow any animals on site, except guide dogs. We also do not allow unattended dogs to be left anywhere on our site. This includes in parked cars or tied to railings outside the main building.
Our day tickets will last you all day as long as you are wearing your wrist band. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your session start time. After your swim you are more than welcome to stay on site to use our facilities, until the pools close.
Yes, if you leave the site just keep your wrist band on and show it at reception when you re-enter.
Customers are welcome to bring their own picnics. We do have a café on site which sells a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks. We ask visitors not to consume their own food in our café area.
Customers are welcome to bring their own small inflatables and toys, we ask customers to check with a Duty Manager before taking them into the pool.
We have a number of lockers on site which take a returnable £1 coin.
The cafe serves hot drinks, cold drinks, sweets and ice creams during all sessions.
The café serves hot food 11am- 3.30pm at weekends and school holidays.
Although we have our own benches, chairs, tables and parasols, customers are welcome to bring their own seating and umbrellas as ours are limited.
We do not stock sun cream. Please come prepared and if possible apply your suncream before arriving at the centre.
We do not sell swimwear, but we do sell armbands, balls, inflatable rings and goggles.
When booking online, payment is by card through our booking system. Walk-ups can pay using card or cash on arrival. Card and cash payments are also accepted at the cafe.
We accept most major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and American Express.
No, the use of flippers snorkels and scuba masks are not allowed in the general swim sessions. The use of mermaid tails is not permitted.
Yes, we offer private bookings mainly on a weekend after general swim session. Clubs are also able to hire the pool for their activities. If you're a club and interested in hiring the pool, please email reception@haltwhistleleisure.co.uk.
Yes you can, but please wash them thoroughly before entering the water, particularly if you use the suit in the river or sea.
Yes. We keep all lost property for a minimum period of 2 weeks due to storage limitations. Please call or email us to check if we have your item. Claimed items will be stored for 2 weeks from their claim date for you to collect. All lost property not collected is donated to local good causes or where possible recycled.
Yes, we are open in most weather conditions. The only time we will shut is if there is lightening overhead. An ‘all clear’ to re-enter the water will be given when it is safe to do so.
No, once you have booked your space it is yours for the duration of the session. You may arrive anytime throughout, however last admittance is 30 minutes before the end of the session.
